What’s Coming

Always trying to stay relevant to its changing audience, the messenger has undergone many a transformation. Some were received better than others. (The bright orange of the early 2000s is a personal favourite of mine)

The move online was no different, with declining physical readership and everyone on their devices over lockdown it was the perfect time.

Unfortunately the lack of a physical presence has led to us falling out of relevance and now likely to the lowest readership since our creation.

For the past few months we've made incremental changes all in preparation for a major push.

So here's the plan:

We're changing the name. Were not a magazine and we want to appeal to a wider reformed audience:

It's a small move but important for the future and to keep consistent branding.

And we're refocusing our efforts

Step 1

  • We're increasing Quantity - We're putting out an article every week.

  • We're keeping quality high - Templates and writing plans means articles will stay consistent across authors.

  • Were streamlining our series - Moving to categorisation to improve searchability and so we don't have half finished series.

  • We're getting authors you know - Content will be made as much as possible by young people.

  • Were writing for you - Everything were producing is made for young people.

Step 2

We've already said goodbye to the newsletter and it won't be coming back. Every week you know there's something out and all promotion now goes through social media.

Less clutter in your inbox. Unfortunate for all 4 of you ministers who used it.

Step 3

Were putting out an article every Wednesday

  • Week 1 - Get to know the denomination with our Church Profiles, written by a young person in the church.

  • Week 2 - See what your parents, and maybe grandparents, were reading with our posts from the archive.

  • Week 3 - Experience something brand new with our custom written articles.

  • Week 4 - Explore the psalms, written by young men across our denomination.

And putting out a video every Sabbath.

  • From QnAs to Talks to Seminars and Events.

As much as we can get our hands on from across the denominations young people events will be on our streaming platforms

Step 4

We'll be keeping you up to date on what's happening with the events calendar.

If you want to add an event we're missing click here (please add any public events happening in your church):

Step 5

And finally, All of our video content is now available as audio on your favourite music streaming platforms. (Please use this it's more work than you understand)

  • Youtube Music

  • Amazon Music

  • Apple Music

  • Spotify

We hope you'll find the content we make this year useful. We are working to make things that are interesting and relevant.

All the best in 2025.
